This oak kitchen had a very basic floor plan, an awkwardly shaped island, and lacked creativity. By removing the corner pantry, adding more lights, and changing the cabinets to white, the height and overall size of the kitchen is highlighted, storage is increased, and the kitchen becomes immediately larger, brighter, and more conducive to cooking.

This Minnesotan kitchen was instantly transformed into a cute, yellow shaker-style kitchen when we replaced her '70s dark oak raised panel cabinets. Moving the fridge gave her more countertop space on either side of her range, and by getting rid of the soffits above the upper cabinets, we were able to maximize the true height of the ceiling and add more storage.
